I was born in the island of Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, Spain. An archipelago of 8 islands South to Spain and West to the coast of Africa in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
I feel very lucky to have been born here, the culture is amazing, the weather is perfect and the food is the best. Plus the connection with the ocean has clearly impacted my lifestyle and sports I practice.
Sports
Sports have been a great part of my life, I used to play basketball and soccer when I was a kid, I also skateboarded since a really young age. Obviously surfing is the biggest sport in my life which I learned when I was 8 years old. I have also done my fair share of martial arts being brown belt in Judo and doing Muay Thai for 2 years.
Practicing sports have made me a very positive person since it helps me get the stress out and enjoy.
Travelling
Whenever I have a break of school or holiday I enjoy flying out to different countries around the world. Usually I take my surfboard with me, I love trying new waves it’s a great passion of mine. Learning about the culture of the countries I visit and experiencing it first hand is what motivates me the most. I’ve been all over Europe, from the southern countries like Portugal and Italy to the northern ones like Norway and Finland. I have been to every country in North America, including Alaska. Most recently I went on a surf trip to Mexico. I plan on continuing to travel for the rest of my days, the countries I’m looking forward to visiting the most right now are the Maldives and French Polynesia.
My Future
Once I graduate I would like to work in a big corporation, where I can apply my Business Administration and Marketing skills. I would enjoy starting out my career as a Marketing Coordinator and make my way up into a Marketing Manager, International Marketing Executive and hopefully one day CEO. I know these are positions that require a lot of creativity, which I think is a characteristic that benefits me. An industry I have a special interest in is Sports Clothing & Gear. I feel like my experience in board sports can bring lots to the table of the big brands in this industry.
Aside from my future career I would also like to be able to continue competing in surfing, I have the goal of winning a major QS Event and also create a video edit that shocks the surf world.
